VCreaTek

At VCreaTek Consulting, we believe that the best solutions emerge when leaders challenge assumptions, embrace diverse perspectives, and continuously invest in learning. This philosophy was reaffirmed when our team members, Shabana Chowdhury Ali, Ishangi Jain, and Rajeev Anand, participated in the Management Development Programme for NASSCOM SME Future Leaders, organised by the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) in collaboration with NASSCOM SME Connect.

IIM Lucknow Management Development Programme

The two-day programme brought together emerging leaders from across industries to explore the evolving demands of leadership in today’s dynamic business environment. Through a series of interactive sessions led by distinguished faculty and industry experts, participants gained fresh perspectives on customer-centric innovation, financial decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, conflict management, persuasion, and digital transformation.

While each session focused on a distinct leadership capability, a common thread emerged throughout the programme: effective leadership begins with asking the right questions before pursuing the right solutions.

The programme challenged participants to rethink conventional approaches to business decision-making. Sessions on customer-centric innovation reinforced the importance of deeply understanding customer needs rather than relying on assumptions. Discussions on financial reporting demonstrated that meaningful business insights often lie beyond headline financial metrics. Interactive exercises on collaboration highlighted how organisational silos are frequently created by communication gaps and unchallenged assumptions rather than formal structures.

Equally insightful were the sessions on conflict management and persuasion, which reframed conflict as an opportunity for constructive dialogue and better decision-making when managed effectively. The programme concluded with discussions on digital transformation, emphasising that technology delivers lasting value only when it addresses genuine business challenges instead of simply digitising existing processes.

Beyond the classroom, the programme provided a valuable platform for networking and knowledge exchange with professionals representing a diverse range of industries. These conversations reinforced the importance of cross-sector collaboration and the value of learning from varied experiences and perspectives.

Reflecting on the experience, our participants recognised that leadership today is less about having immediate answers and more about cultivating curiosity, critical thinking, and the ability to navigate complexity with confidence.

The programme also reaffirmed many of the principles that underpin VCreaTek’s consulting approach. Whether supporting organisations through digital transformation, business process optimisation, or organisational change, we believe that sustainable outcomes are achieved by identifying root causes, challenging assumptions, and designing solutions that address real business needs.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Prof. Amit Agrahari (Programme Director), Mr. Sumit Kumar Singh, Prof. Madhumita Chakraborty, Prof. Girish Balasubramanian, and Prof. Nishant Uppal for delivering an engaging and thought-provoking learning experience. We also thank IIM Lucknow and NASSCOM SME Connect for creating a platform that equips future leaders with practical insights and strategic perspectives.
